Western America's Greatest Wetlands
The Klamath is the greatest wetlands in the Western US, and one of the most important areas in the world for birds. It's been degraded over time, but has spectacular potential for restoration. It's a beautiful place, and in my opinion it's one of the most compelling conservation stories in the world. My work in the Klamath is one of my biggest projects, spanning several years, and this is the first full-length photo book about the Klamath. Visit my Klamath mini-site below for more information.
|Mojo & the Tree of Life
One Dog's Story from India
Sitting lifeless on a street in the desert in western India, with a serious head injury and people throwing rocks at him... follow Mojo's odyssey hundreds of miles to the Tree of Life For Animals (TOLFA) rescue center in Pushkar. Contains 200 photos and 15,000 words of text. Please visit TOLFA's website and support their work. Note: This book contains graphic content.
|Monteverde Cloud Forest Preserve
Tropical Biodiversity Jewel
This is the official photo book of the Monteverde Cloud Forest Preserve in Costa Rica. Managed by the Tropical Science Center, it's one of the best-known and studied tropical protected areas in the world. Monteverde is stunningly beautiful and diverse, home to countless plants and animals, and is a model for tropical forest conservation. I carried out all photography and layout. The book was published by the Tropical Science Center, for whom I carried out field work for several years.
Dogs of India
A Call for Compassion
There are untold millions of stray dogs in India, and many of them are hungry, sick, or injured. This book is full of revealing and sometimes heartbreaking images. A recommended read if you love and care about dogs. Also see Mojo & the Tree of Life above, and the photo book Slum Dogs of India by UK photographer Eloise Leyden. Note: This book contains graphic content.
|The Fairest Cape
Cape Peninsula, South Africa
It's hard to imagine a more beautiful place. Words can't do it justice, but I hope this book conveys at least some of the awesome beauty of the southwestern tip of Africa - crystalline waters, gorgeous beaches, wild ostrich, antelopes, penguins, baboons, and perhaps the most incredible wildflowers in the world.
|Only One Earth
This book looks at conservation issues around the world. The future of the Earth is more uncertain now than ever. We need a new vision for a sustainable future, one that protects the planet and uplifts humanity. I hope that books like this can get people more interested in nature and conservation.
